About Us
Tango lives everywhere.
Its infrastructure lived nowhere.
Built by a dancer who has lived every role in the ronda, in a hundred cities — so the night can be found, kept and shared without losing its soul.
The founder
Dancing since 2007. A hundred cities.
My name is Scott. I've danced tango since 2007 and travelled to over a hundred cities for it — organizing, teaching, DJing, leading and following, as a nomad moving through communities that are deeply local and yet globally connected.
That revealed one consistent problem: events scattered across platforms, knowledge passed by word of mouth, memories lost in private phones, organizers and teachers on tools never made for the way tango works.
My other life is technology — identity, security and large-scale platform operations: systems people have to be able to trust. Mundo Tango sits at the intersection of those two worlds.
This is not a side project. It's the platform I wish had existed for the last fifteen years of my tango life.

What we hold to
Consent first, no broadcast.
Across a crowded room one dancer catches another's eye and holds it. That is the whole invitation — the cabeceo — and the product is built around it, not around engagement. Nobody is ranked, nothing you do is scored.
What you build here belongs to you.
Your events, your photographs, the people you meet — exports whenever you ask, and never anyone's training data or advertising inventory. That is the floor, not the upsell.
No advertisers to answer to.
A feed turns against you because of ownership, not mystery. We remain dancer-owned and operated — the only version of this promise that survives a funding round.
Mundo Tango is dedicated to fostering connections within the global tango community. We believe in the power of dance to bring people together across cultures, languages, and borders. Our platform helps dancers discover events, connect with teachers, find practice partners, and immerse themselves in the rich traditions of Argentine tango.
Open source is on our roadmap — we're focused on the platform itself for now.
