Copyright notice-and-takedown under 17 U.S.C. §512
Mundo Tango respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. §512, we will respond expeditiously to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement and, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
If you believe content on Mundo Tango infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to our Designated Agent. To be effective under §512(c)(3), your notice must include:
• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (e.g., the URL).
• Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email).
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
You may use the form below, or email the Designated Agent directly. Note: under §512(f), knowingly making a material misrepresentation may subject you to liability for damages.
If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the Designated Agent containing:
• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your judicial district (or, if outside the U.S., the district in which Mundo Tango may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
Consistent with §512(i), Mundo Tango maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
